VX-C vs the Rest of the VX Line
Yamaha’s US pages list the 2027 VX-C at 10 ft 9 in (129 in), and the VX, VX Deluxe, VX Cruiser, VX Cruiser HO, VX Limited and VX Limited HO at 11 ft 0 in (132 in). The VX-C is the shortest 2027 VX, but it’s still a P4, 4 in over the bottom of the P4 range at 125 in.
Older VX Cruiser Years
Yamaha’s EU-market factsheets list the 2014 VX Cruiser at 3.27 m (128.7 in), the 2018 VX Cruiser HO at 3.35 m (131.9 in) and the 2024 VX Cruiser HO at 3.37 m (132.7 in). All three are a P4, and the longest is 2.3 in under the top of the P4 range at 135 in. For a VX year that isn’t in the table, measure yours before you order.
Satin Shield Sizes by Length, Not Seats
Yamaha lists the VX for up to three riders, which matches the seat counts on both Satin Shield sizes (PWC2 for 2 to 3 seats, PWC3 for 3 to 4). Length decides: every listed VX is longer than the PWC2’s 117 in limit and within the PWC3’s 138 in, so the indoor Satin Shield for the VX is the PWC3.

What size cover fits a Yamaha VX?
A P4 Weatherproof Shield, or a PWC3 Satin Shield for indoor storage. That holds for every VX row in the table on this page, from the 2027 VX-C and VX models to the 2014, 2018 and 2024 VX Cruiser years. For a year that isn’t listed, measure the overall length and match it in the size guide.
Does the VX-C take a smaller cover than the VX?
No. Yamaha lists the 2027 VX-C at 129 in and the VX at 132 in. Both are inside the P4 Weatherproof Shield’s 125 to 135 in range, so both take a P4.
Does the VX Cruiser HO take the same size as the VX?
Yes. Yamaha’s US page lists the 2027 VX Cruiser HO at 132 in, the same as the VX, and its EU factsheets list the 2018 and 2024 VX Cruiser HO at 131.9 in and 132.7 in. All of them are a P4 Weatherproof Shield or a PWC3 Satin Shield.
Can I trailer my VX with the cover on?
Yes, with the Weatherproof Shield and every strap fastened: it’s our trailerable cover, in water-resistant, PU-coated 600D polyester with built-in buckles and straps and air vents to aid trailering. The Satin Shield is an indoor cover and is not for trailering. More in trailering with the cover on.
